Since January 2019, Dead Sky has made it their mission to spread the good vibe and camaraderie of the Grateful Dead to old and new Deadheads alike. As veterans of the Montana jam band scene, the members of Dead Sky have together evolved through triumphs and challenges and continue to bring their musicality, energy, and gift for improvisation to an ever-growing fan base.

Dead Sky’s current lineup features Kelly Nicholson (vocals), Luke Flansburg (vocals/lead guitar), Jess Atkins (vocals/lead guitar), Tyler Schultz (keys), Rich Robiscoe (bass), and Joe Sheehan (drums). Between them, they’ve played with some of the region’s most acclaimed acts, including Pinky and the Floyd, MOTH, Tsunami Funk, Hooligans, Cure for the Common, Dusty Pockets, and the Kelly Nicholson Band. Dead Sky honors the memory of founding members Joe Knapp and Joe Kirchner, whose spirit and love for the music remain at the heart of every performance.

Known for their dynamic live performances, rich harmonies, and unique interpretations of the Grateful Dead’s catalog, Dead Sky has brought their sound to stages such as The Elm (Bozeman, MT), The State Room (Salt Lake City, UT), Top Hat (Missoula, MT), and Bozeman’s annual Sweet Pea Festival.

The singer/songwriter Micah Gardner with guitar/vocals,The Barstool Sailor is a staple on Saturday nights at the Florida Keys Brewing Company in Islamorada, FL.

Scott Youngberg

Originally from Chicago, he kept moving farther and farther south, settling in the Florida Keys. Scott got his start in the Chattanooga music scene first "working the door" for The Handy Award-winning "Blues Doctor," Russell Linnemann and The Travelling Riverside Blues Caravan, then playing clubs and festivals. He's been performing at clubs, resorts, weddings and parties full time in the Florida Keys since 1997, where he's recorded and produced his first CD, "Live At Sunset," followed by the all original album called "Idle Speed". It features the talents of many other Keys Musicians, opening these Singer / Songwriter tunes up to their full potential. Mishka is a Bermudian singer songwriter who plays an eclectic mix of acoustic ballads and roots reggae.

Mishka’s latest album (released September 2022) is titled “This Love”. It is a collection of introspective tunes with deep grooves and beautiful harmonies that in many ways reflect the acoustic sound and vibe of his first album. You can hear the title track of the album on both satellite (Sirius XM) and terrestrial (AAA and NPR) radio across the US and is available on all digital streaming platforms.

Mishka began his professional journey when he was signed to Alan McGee’s legendary Creation Records in the UK where he released his eponymously titled album “Mishka”. Since leaving Creation Mishka has gone on to record 6 more studio albums and 2 EPs.

Every album has enjoyed chart success with five #1 albums on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart, three #1 albums on the iTunes Reggae Chart. He was also named iTunes Best New Artist in the Singer-Songwriter category. He has also done collaborations with iconic artists Willie Nelson and Jimmy Buffet among others.

Mishka has toured in North America, South America, Europe, Japan, Australia and the Caribbean, both as a headline artist and also in support of such artists as The Roots, Floetry, Sly and Robbie, Gregory Isaacs, Donovan Frankenreiter, Xavier Rudd and many more.

He has played multiple Festivals including Glastonbury, Fuji Rock, Austin City Limits, SXSW, and Byron Bay Roots and Blues Fest just to name a few.

Scott Youngberg

Scott Youngberg is an acoustic singer/songwriter based out of Islamorada, in the Florida Keys. He travels regularly up to Miami / Ft. Lauderdale and down to Key West. His show features a widely varied playlist mixing original songs with select cover tunes and popular songs. ~ CDs: Idle Speed - Sitting somewhere between Southern Rock and Americana, with a tropical flavor, these well-crafted lyrics are set inside of fun, energetic music, but nothing so loud or so fast that it gets between you and the words. These songs are a collection of personal experience, reflective thoughts and whimsical ideas inspired by the milieu of island life.

Billy was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. He spent the first dozen years of his career playing in various bands touring The Northeast before eventually going solo. In 1990 he relocated to Key Largo with his wife of 47 years, and 26 year old daughter. Billy writes and records his original music (think James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Keb Mo) with his fellow co-writers, Paul Case and Steve Webb. Over his 40+ year career he has released 7 records with his former band mate, Paul Case, 4 with current partner, Steve Webb, and 4 solo records. He performs at various outdoor, oceanfront restaurants and he has become a fan favorite in the upper Keys and beyond. You can find all his music on iTunes, CDBaby, and other various outlets. He also has a Facebook/ Youtube show "Billy and Cindyd's Garden Party Series" that started during the pandemic and has now broadcast since 2021 weekly every Monday or Tuesday from Thanksgiving till the end of April, featuring various artists from all over the globe

Leah Sutter

Born and raised in the Florida Keys, Leah Sutter is the youngest of four children to parents John and Michele. Leah realized her talents and love of music early on in her life and, with the support of her family, quickly immersed herself in the art. Soon she was receiving classical voice training and taking both piano and guitar lessons. In middle and high school, Leah often performed in talent shows, arts showcases, drama, and musical theater in an effort to perfect her performance style. As Leah’s involvement in the Keys music scene grew, she learned she could connect with people and make them smile with her music. Today these remain her motivations for pursuing a music career.

Leah continued to develop her signature sound through her training. While attending Florida State University, she took piano lessons and went through classical voice training at FSU, as well as directed music and art shows and performances in the Tallahassee community. Leah’s repertoire was expanded by her position as lead singer in the band Leah & the Aviators (L&A)—whose music generally falls under the Alternative Rock/Adult Contemporary genre. They performed in many FSU showcases and Tallahassee music and art festivals. The band released their debut album “Air Ride” on November 4, 2014, which can be found on iTunes, Spotify, etc.

After finishing school, Leah moved home to the islands again to pursue music in the place she loves most. The culture of the Keys played a role in fostering not only Leah as a person, but also her passion for music and that’s clear in the laid back nature of her original tracks and person. Her music is what one might describe as Pop Coffeehouse, though Leah dubs it ‘Acoustic/Pop.’ Leah has been actively performing since 2014 and has had the opportunity to perform at many different events.

Key Largo Jam Band

We are a loose group of studious musicians in the upper keys. Known for hosting jams. We have anywhere between 5 and 10 musicians on stage at any given time. Over the years we’ve had many great vacationing and snowbird musicians sit in with us.

Jimmy Hawkins got his first guitar at age 9, and began a musical odyssey, which has taken him literally around the world. He spent his early years absorbing and analyzing the unending variety
of musical styles the river carried to his native town of St. Louis. He paid his dues with a succession of local groups, barnstorming the Midwest from St. Louis to Detroit

In 1973, Jimmy caught wind of a new musical movement taking place in the Caribbean. Accepting an invitation to visit Jamaica with a friend, Jimmy decided to stay a while and ended up spending the next ten years immersed in its cultural, musical, and spiritual world.

Returning to the States in 1983, Jimmy formed the nucleus of what would become the Cyclones. The Cyclones carefully nurtured a fan base throughout southeast Florida and the Florida Keys. This popularity led to a house band berth at Key Largo’s famous Caribbean Club, and many People’s Choice awards for “best local band.” In 1996, the Cyclones released their first CD, recorded live at the Club. This album is a compilation of original songs written by Jimmy and his son Felix, as well as original arrangements of previously recorded material.
