**Remembering Steve Miller**
I first met Steve back in the early '80s when he was rehearsing with his band Rosetta Stone at the old Treasure Museum, which is now the Montessori school. I was there to meet with some friends for another music project, but I ended up staying to listen. Rick, Robin, Kevin, and Steve were playing some of the best rock 'n' roll I’d ever heard. We were all so young then.
From the beginning, Steve stood out. He was one of the hardest-working guitarists I’ve ever known—technically brilliant, always pushing himself to get better, and deeply committed to the music. Over the years, Steve became more than just a gifted musician; he became a local legend. He was a pillar of the music scene and a generous soul who gave his time and talent to every cause and benefit that came his way.
Steve was kind-hearted, humble, and endlessly giving. His presence lifted the community, and his passing leaves a space that won’t easily be filled. We will miss him dearly.
Rest easy, Steve. We know you’re up there jamming with the greats. You’re in good hands, and among friends brother.
